Willis & Company was founded by J. Eric Willis in 1990. Since that time, the company has provided full-service commercial property management to eBay, Renco Properties Inc., CB Commercial Real Estate Group, Inc., WSJ Properties, First Interstate Bank, Stanford University Gift Department, Kobe Precision, Inc., the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History, and a number of local real estate investors.

Currently, Willis & Company manages approximately 1.5 million square feet of space, consisting mainly of first class R&D buildings. Additionally, they also manage a number of Class A office buildings, retail centers, warehouses, and specialty buildings in eleven different cities in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their offices are located in Portola Valley, in the heart of the Bay Area.

Mr. J. Eric Willis is active in the real estate community. He is past president of the Building Owners and Managers Association chapter for Silicon Valley ("BOMA"). He has served as a BOMA Board Member, Vice President and President. He was also chairman of the first BOMA San Jose trade show. Mr. Willis is the past Chairman of the BOMA Governmental Affairs Committee.

For many years, Mr. Willis has been a member of the Executive Committee for the California statewide organization known as BOMA California. In 1998, Mr. Willis was Secretary and a member of the Executive Board for this statewide organization. BOMA San Jose and BOMA California have been very instrumental in promoting and defeating state legislation affecting real property. In 1996, Mr. Willis obtained statewide recognition for his efforts to defeat a proposed law that would have given real estate brokers mechanics lien rights against real property.

In 1995 and 1997 Willis & Company was honored as a recipient of "The Office Building of the Year" award for the "rehabilitated/modernized" category. Their entry for 1997 was the runner up in the Pacific Region competition for "The Office of the Year", held in Anchorage, Alaska.
